  • Carefully follow the instructions for use provided with the pack.
  • Asweda wheat bags are designed to provide gently soothing warmth not scorching heat, so do not be tempted to heat it in the microwave oven for longer than 2-3 minutes.
  • Please note that older people and young children have a different tolerance to heat so the Asweda wheat bag should be used as per each individual's tolerance.
  • Always check the temperature on the back of your hand before applying the Asweda wheat bag after heating.
  • It is not advisable to wrap your Asweda wheat bag in another cloth as this can add to the chances of your bag getting too hot.
  • Avoid adding oils to wheat bags. If you add oils to wheat bags, over time you will saturate the cover cloth and create an added fire risk.
  • If your wheat bag is charred or smells burnt or if you notice this smell when heating it, let it cool down in the kitchen sink and then discard it. Its time for a new Asweda wheat bag!

  • Leave to cool in a safe area and on a noncombustible dry surface.
  • Always remove the plastic cover while heating.
  • Place a cup of water in the microwave when heating Asweda wheat bags – this ensures the bag does not dry out or overheat.
  • Always store the wheat bag only after it has completely cooled.
  • Avoid adding oils to wheat bags. If you add oils to wheat bags, over time you will saturate the cover cloth and create an added fire risk.

  • Do not leave the wheat bag unsupervised in the microwave.
  • Never heat for more than a total of 3 minutes.
  • Do not use wheat bags as bed warmers. Don't let anyone, particularly children or the elderly, sleep with a heated wheat bag.
  • Do not use wheat bags in confined spaces that can trap heat, such as under blankets or on a bedding.
  • Do not reheat the bag until it has completely cooled – which may be two hours after initial heating.
